The last FF to be made on the PS1...
Yeah, the very last one...
Sad huh?
But Final Fantasy sure left the PS1 with a bang. FF9 was a simply fantastic game, pushing the original Sony Playstation to the very limits but not forgetting to bring along a brilliant and mesmerising storyline.

The Story.
Garnet is the Princess of the Royal house Alexandria and heir to the throne. Her mother is Queen Brahne. The kingdom of Alexandria and all surrounding kingdoms are in turmoil. Queen Brahne has been acting increasingly strangely for the past few weeks.
Garnet enlists the help of a travelling group of bandits known as Tantalus to smuggle her to the kingdom of Lindblum so that she may sort out what is going on with her mother.

Garnet meets a member of Tantalus called Zidane and the two form a powerful friendship throughout their journey.

The game also revolves around a clumsy black mage called Vivi. He is a quiet, nervous being that likes to ponder existance. He is accidently drawn into Zidane's and Garnet's quest. But he soon becomes very close to them.

Final Fantasy 9 was released on the PS1 on 4 CDs.
